Smart Works Scotland Outreach Project Officer

Location: Glasgow, Scotland
Hours: 40 per week
Salary: £23,000-£24,000
Planned start date: 03/04/2023

We are looking for a creative and forward-thinking individual to join our team on a fixed term basis, to help build the long-term future of Smart Works Scotland. The role requires a proactive approach, excellent communication and networking skills and experience in delivering projects to KPI targets.

The Outreach Project Officer will be responsible for planning and delivering projects that reach more women from Black and Minority Ethnic (BME) communities, raising awareness of our core service and career coaching service.

The aim is to support more than 200 clients from these communities over a 12-month period. This role would focus on creating new (and building on existing) relationships with organisations supporting women from BME communities across Greater Glasgow who are impacted by unemployment, discrimination and financial hardship.

The role will be based in the Glasgow centre. There will be occasional evening and weekend work required, as the role holder will also provide key events support.

Smart Works Scotland is part of Smart Works Charity. Therefore, there will be some travel to London where our HQ team is based, as well as to our regional centres across the U.K. There will be liaison with regional teams to support induction and training and participation in regular meetings, phone calls and conferences with other Smart Works centres across the UK.

All successful applicants will be required to complete a basic DBS check and hold a valid UK driving licence.
