Resourcing Advisor

Location: West Midlands
Hours: 36.25
Salary: £31,350 – £34,475 Per Annum
Planned start date: 01/10/2022

Over 50 years later, we’re one of the leading housing providers in the UK.  Our services have diversified, our housing portfolio has expanded, and our reputation as an innovator within our sector has grown.  But one thing that has never changed.  Our belief in people and what they can achieve.

Your role at Orbit.

For three years we have been responsible for directly sourcing and attracting the best talent to Orbit.  We have achieved phenomenal success, developed our employer brand, delivered a fantastic candidate experience and evolved our ways of working.  Our results and satisfaction ratings speak for themselves.  To date we’ve saved over £2.5m in agency costs and recruited 96% of new employees without the support of our recruitment partners.  This has been achieved through a team-centric culture and our belief in recruiting like-minded individuals to bring their skills and shared values to Orbit.

We have an exciting career opportunity for a Resourcing Advisor to join the team.  As a internal recruiter you will develop and manage end to end recruitment solutions on behalf of our Managers, Heads of Service and Leadership teams, ensuring that they are well informed on market conditions and guided on the best approach to secure the right candidate for their recruitment needs.

You’ll manage every stage of the process including discussions around recruitment opportunities and challenges, vacancy briefings, advert writing, shortlist and selection, candidate screening, interview arrangements, through to offer management, negotiation and pre/on-boarding.

You will have unrivalled access to key stakeholders and be encouraged to understand their business objectives, challenges, and future plans so that you can provide a recruitment offering built on knowledge, trust and shared objectives.

Further opportunity exists to work with the team in the development of new ways of working, the development of our employer value proposition (EVP) and offer your own ideas so that we can continue to evolve our recruitment offering.

What will help you make a difference.

You will be an experienced recruiter who is tenacious and passionate about your work.  Ideally you will demonstrate experience in direct sourcing models and able to evidence a partnered and consultative approach to recruitment.  Expertise in construction, property and surveying recruitment would be advantageous but not essential.

You will possess sound knowledge of recruitment legislation with experience of designing and developing innovative resourcing strategies and selection processes, with the ability to deliver timely and accurate feedback to candidates engaged in recruitment processes.

Applications are welcome from agency recruitment consultants wanting to switch to internal recruitment.

More about Orbit Group

Orbit was established in 1967 by two people on a park bench, contemplating how to tackle homelessness. Five decades on, we are one of the largest builders of affordable homes, placing customers and communities at the heart of what we do. Today, over 100,000 people live in an Orbit home and our aim is to ensure the homes we provide and the places we create are good quality, affordable and safe. We also play an active part in the neighbourhoods where we work, supporting local economies and social activity within communities.
