Part time Income Collection and Recovery Officer

Hours: 18.13 per week

Salary: £23,211 – £25,680

Your role at Orbit.

Part time role – Working pattern, week 1 Monday and Tuesday, Week 2 Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. 

We are looking to recruit an Income Collection and Recovery Officer to provide advice and assistance to customers on all areas related to income collection and recovery. In addition to maximising income through tenancy enforcement, negotiation, arrears recovery and triage.

You will deal with pre legal queries, and proactively contact customers to resolve debt issues and negotiate repayment schemes. You will investigate any disputes, collating the relevant information to ensure the best outcome. You will take accountability for performance and ensuring all KPIs are met.

Full time equivalent salary –  £23, 211 moving to £25,680 following training and development

What will help you make a difference.

  • Excellent customer communication skills, including strong negotiation skills
  • Good numeracy, literacy and communication skills including business letter writing experience
  • Good IT skills including word and excel
  • Experience of office and system administration
  • Ability to prioritise workload and work unsupervised, with a proven record of accomplishment of delivering results
  • Experience of providing advice to the public
  • Debt Management experience
  • Flexible approach to working hours to support business need. The Hub is operational Mon – Fri 8am to 8pm

Desirable

  • Previous experience of housing law, especially in relation to debt recovery via county court process
