Hours: 21 hours per week

Planned start date: 07.06.2021
At TSIP we want to evaluate and understand our impact over the past year. Evaluation is the periodic, retrospective assessment of an organisation, project or programme. Sometimes it is conducted internally, and other times it is managed by external independent evaluators. Evaluation is a powerful tool that can help TSIP:
- Assess the effectiveness of our work on improving people’s lives
- Improve internal learning and decision making
- Ensure accountability to key stakeholders like the community and our client’s
- Share our learning with the community, partners, clients and other organisations
- Contribute to the evidence base for new and innovative approaches to research, evaluation and programme design
As a diverse team of technical and community specialists driving community change, we support partners and clients to understand social issues better and increase their impact on people and communities through research, programme design, impact measurement, strategy facilitation and learning and co-production. Over the past year, we have worked on projects that:
- Research the relationship between underrepresented communities and air pollution
- Seek to understand the experiences and perspectives of people more likely to be negatively impacted by COVID-19
- Explore race, COVID-19 and employment in Lambeth
We are seeking interns to work part-time 21 hours per week over twelve weeks from early June until August. The majority of work will be remote based and preferably candidates will be available on Thursday and Fridays from 9am to 5 pm (with a 1-hour lunch break), in addition to an additional flexible 8 hours around your schedule. However, we are open to making alternative arrangements where possible.
Throughout the internship, you will receive ongoing training, have an opportunity to shadow our team on other projects and drive the final evaluation publication measuring TSIP’s social impact, which you will present back to the team upon the conclusion of your internship. You will also have an opportunity to learn more about operations, finance and project management in addition to participating in team meetings and socials.

- a commitment to improving the lives of working people in London
- are curious by nature, eager to learn and have the confidence to ask tough questions
- are self-starters, team-players, highly organised and have excellent time management
What you can expect from us:
- The opportunity to work with a diverse team of technical and community specialists
