Support Worker

Salary: £25,480/ £14ph (equivalent to £15,288 pro rata)
Planned start date: ASAP
Home-based remote working with in-person client and partnership work in the following areas; North London (Islington), East London (Tower Hamlets & Newham), West London (Hounslow, Brent & Ealing) or South London (Merton & Croydon).
We are looking for a committed and enthusiastic individual to lead on partnership working and development in new areas for the organisation. The role will be responsible for advocacy, workshops, delivering social activities, outreach community work and administration of local projects. You will develop and maintain new and existing partnerships with local organisations to improve support for single Asian mothers and their children, be responsible for recruitment and supervision of volunteers to support service users and you will also help to develop new activities as guided by service user involvement.
You will be able to demonstrate proven success of working on projects, delivering results and meeting targets, experience of providing services to vulnerable women such as emotional support, advocacy, counselling, casework and groupwork and excellent administration and IT skills. You will have proven communication and interpersonal skills and an ability to speak a South Asian language such as Bengali, Hindi, Urdu and/or Punjabi. A commitment to Equal Opportunities and ongoing safeguarding training is essential.
