Engagement Support Officer – Behavioural Support
Hours: 18.5 per week
Salary: £23,000 – £25,500 per annum pro rata
Planned start date: form 01/10/2023
Join our Behavioural Change and Support Services Unit (BCSSU) as an Engagement Support Officer and enable us to provide the best service possible by promoting positive change to our participants.
Our BCSSU delivers evidence-based and innovative interventions and services to individuals who, due to multiple or complex needs require specialist behaviour change treatment or holistic support. Our work within the criminal justice sector is not restricted to those who have a conviction, and our interventions take place remotely, in the community and in custodial settings.
We’ll need your excellent interpersonal skills as you play a key role in increasing the volume of referrals through our behaviour change and support programmes. You’ll work closely with our partnering agencies (i.e. police, courts and probation) to identify suitable individuals for referral and then ensure optimal engagement with our services once inducted.
Our successful candidate will ideally have experience working with perpetrators of stalking, harassment, or domestic abuse offences. However, we’re not looking for someone who ticks every box, just so long as you have an engaging personality and the ability to build and develop relationships with stakeholders at all levels, including those with challenging behaviour or complex needs.
This is an excellent opportunity to promote positive change, the protection of victims and children, plus the development of pro-social behaviour through a multi-agency approach.
In return for your dedication, knowledge, and commitment, we’re offering a competitive salary of £23,000 – £25,500 per annum (dependent on experience) with these great benefits:
– 25 days annual leave + Bank Holidays + Birthday Day off (with the opportunity to buy additional days)
– 2 Volunteer Days
– Pension – 5% Employee 5% Employer
– Healthcare Cash Plan, incl. 3 x salary life assurance
– Annual Salary Increase in line with national average
– Refer a Friend Scheme
– Free access to BenefitHub – an online portal with access to a wide range of retail discounts, cycle to work scheme and additional voluntary benefits
